You can Play Flash (.swf) files in your article, as long as the file is hosted on a web server on the web.

How?

Find the URL to this Flash file (with extension .swf) - Go to your article editor and select ‘F’ next to the ‘A’ (in yellow) - box will appear type in the URL of the Flash file (http://blah.com/yourfile.swf ) - boxes will appear asking for height and width for the flash window (typically use 400 x 300 or 300 x 300 - unless you know the proportion)

Click publish and your done (of course inlcude text as well with the article) - view the Flash media in your blog.

Hosting your own flash file (.swf) - many free services are available on the web that offer free web space for any type of file - just make sure they allow hot linking (that is direct access to the file from any browser).
